Restorative

Restoring a tooth is when a broken or cracked tooth is repaired with a full coverage crown aka cap, a cavity is fixed or a filing is replaced. EFD provides many restorative options which include silver fillings (amalgam), tooth colored filling (composite), porcelain crowns, metal crowns and conservative onlays.

Cosmetic

Cosmetic dentistry is used when teeth are misaligned, permanently discolored or broken. We offer in-office and take home bleaching which ever fits your schedule. All porcelain veneers are the treatment of choice for either misaligned front teeth, to correct spacing, permanently whiten/brighten a smile. Composite bondings are an alternative to correct minor flaws.

Preventative/Hygiene

As an adjunct for our patients we offer 3, 4 and 6 month intervals for cleaning appointments. This may be necessary in order for our hygienists to monitor or treat gingivitis and periodontal maintenance. We offer the most up to date standards for soft tissue treatment which also includes introducing our patients to alternative instruments in order to clean their mouth properly. We follow the newest ADA guidelines and offer our adults as well as children fluoride treatments. Our hygienists include a regular periodontal screening at our patients re-care appointments. More importantly we offer conservative alternatives to periodontal surgery to keep our patients in house.

Whitening

Digital exam technology

Zoom is the latest technology in today’s “right now” society. It is the whitening used on many makeover television shows, we even offer a free consultation for all patients.

Plan a 3 hour appointment and leave with whiter teeth. The on-the-go moms should be happy to know we also offer take home whitening, which is at your convenience.

Invisalign

The newest technology for braces. Traditional metal braces can now be replaced with Invisalign, a series of clear retainers that are used to straighten teeth for select adolescents and nearly all adults. A free consultation is provided for all patients.

Dentures/Implants

We continue to offer the traditional manner of replacing teeth by dentures.  We doctors will utilize a series of appointments to insure proper fitting dentures or partials. A modern alternative for metal framed partials is called Valplast.  An all acrylic partial is the newest technology available that allows us to provide a more natural looking replacement for several teeth. Implants are however the best technology we have to replace single or multiple missing teeth. They actually conserve bone, and allow us to conserve adjacent natural tooth structure.

We offer a wide assortment of the newest technology in order to provide top notch dentistry to all of our patients. We strive to stay current with the latest tends of technology and research. Our office is equipped with a laser cavity detector know as the DIAGNOdent. We routinely use our intraoral camera to show our patients exactly what we see. EFD has a digital computer system that we utilize in all of our treatment rooms which allow us to achieve the highest quality x-rays via our digital x-ray system. Not to mention, we also offer custom tooth artwork (permanent tooth tattoo).

Education

Education is one of the most important aspects of our mission. We have incorporated oral hygiene instructions into our daily routine. We feel it is most important a patient understands all aspects of the treatment being done therefore we also have a computer software program known as CASEY. We are able to show informational videos about procedures, diagnosis and even kid friendly videos.
